This is a honey with a slightly stronger flavour note to it.  It's rich, warm and layered with a grain to it too which gives it a texture I love eating!

If you like your honey to:

  • be spread thick on warm toast and butter and not run everywhere
  • use in your special recipe when quality honey makes all the difference
  • eat by the spoonful as a quick, delicious treat

this would be a good honey for you!

360 jars made. August. Late summer in a spoon.

Kaz's bees here are kept by open fields just outside Petworth, within foraging distance of Ebernoe Common and Nature Reserve — one of the most species-rich ancient woodlands in the South East. I visited on a damp November day and even in the grey it was a beautiful spot.

Kaz trained as an engineer before beekeeping took over completely — she spent years working with beekeepers across the UK and New Zealand before setting up on her own.
