This honey is yet to start crystalising so it still has a thick and runny texture and a clear straw, green-yellow colour to it. It’s very floral, sweet, but not too sweet – perfect for the breakfast table!

PROVENANCE
The Schumachers took this honey off the hives on 16th July, their bees had produced enough honey to fill just 180 jars – a truly limited edition honey from bees they keep in the beautiful grounds surrounding their house at Rotherfield, with restored wildflower meadows, lakes and woodlands. It’s my absolute favourite spot and a total joy visiting them and spending time there.
The Schumachers started beekeeping due to Gayle's persistent and heavy hints, giving John a book on beekeeping every Christmas!
John turned his farmland into fishing lakes back in the early 80’s and created a beautiful landscape. Gayle’s passion has been creating the wildflower meadows to give a wild habitat for all our pollinators. They’re rightly proud of the huge range of plant, animal and insect diversity the meadows and lakes now support. It’s a beautiful wildlife haven, and home to some very lucky bees!
SUSTAINABILITY
We work with small scale British beekeepers who we visit to talk bees with and see the bees and landscapes that make each honey. All of our beekeepers are good custodians of their bees and the woodlands, meadows, gardens and fields they keep them in. They talk to local farmers, landowners, fellow allotment owners and councils to encourage planting for pollinators, sustainable woodland management and protecting the natural landscape for their bees. Our aim is to bring you special limited edition honeys from more and more British beekeepers: as long as they're good custodians of their bees of course!
Our jars and labels are all British sourced to keep our transport miles and carbon footprint low. We absorb the extra cost
