The design is by my daughter Imogen Dawe and then realised for us by Duchess China in Stoke: a business that was founded in 1881. The mug is made from Cornish china clay so a totally British product to support our industries and to minimise our transport miles and carbon footprint.

The process of turning clay into a finished mug takes about a week with skilled craftsmanship involved at every stage so over 20 pairs of hands can touch a single product in the various stages of the process. utilising the skill base of our local workforce while also offering the sustainability of fully British made fine bone china products.

Duchess China draw their skilled workforce from the local area and producing fully British made fine bone china products from their factory in Stoke.
