Honey from bees kept by fields, Goring, Oxfordshire
- In stock, ready to ship
- Inventory on the way
This honey is like crème brulee, caramel - even reminded them of bubble gum someone said! It has a flavour profile that changes too with an almost mint tea end note. It's really lovely and just crystallised with a soft texture.
If you like your honey to:
- stir into your porridge to make it taste so much nicer
- make a honey sandwich as a pick-me-up snack
- eat by the spoonful as a quick, delicious treat
- be spread thick on warm toast and butter and not run everywhere
this would be a good honey for you!
The bees are kept on a patch of land next to a farm's garden and paddock. Just on the very edge of Goring-on-Thames with fields, hedgerows, gardens and the river banks all within the bees' foraging distance.
Mike started beekeeping 25 years ago after hearing someone on a Radio 4 gardening programme declare it was a wonderful hobby because you only had to do it in good weather. He was immediately and permanently hooked. Mike has a turn of phrase I love - my favourite "whatever fills your sails is good for you" and I couldn't agree more.
