This honey has a milder flavour profile than many. It's not too sweet though, with hints of the greenery the bees are surrounded by to it. It's less pronounced than the September honey the same bees produced which has a medium strength flavour profile - check that one out too.

If you like your honey to:

  • make a honey sandwich as a pick-me-up snack
  • eat by the spoonful as a quick, delicious treat

this would be a good honey for you!

Chris thinks this one will have oil seed rape in it which could explain some of the more savoury flavour notes.  Let's see how it crystalises - if it's pale and creamy then the oil seed rape is indeed playing its part.

Chris has 3 hives in his garden, set in wonderfully lush countryside, with tree canopies and wild flower verges lining the country roads.  His bees are next to his vegetable garden and the surrounding trees, hedgerows and fields.
