This is a rich and intensely floral honey, like orange blossom. The flavour stays for ages and develops and has a really perfumed end note, reminding me of parma violets.  I love London honey for all it's complexity and it's proving to be a firm favourite here at HQ!

Limited edition: 1 of  only 300 jars

Size: 224g / 8oz jars

Free postage and the story of the beekeeper included

This honey is from bees kept in a back garden just on the edge of Tooting Common, SW London. The hives are in a really lovely garden with mature fruit trees and wild borders, The Common has avenues of horse chestnut and lime trees as well as blackberry bushes.

Sue took the honey off her bees in July, and couldn't believe how much they were making: everything must have been going their way from the weather to the nectar flows all coming together at the right time for them!

Sue has been beekeeping in London for a good few years now and is a gardener by trade. She took up beekeeping as a hobby following in her father’s footsteps with the smell of the wax and beehives bringing back happy childhood memories. I know what she means, there is something very comforting and evocative about the smell of a shed full of beekeeping equipment!

We work with small scale British beekeepers who we visit to talk bees with and see the bees and landscapes that make each honey. All of our beekeepers are good custodians of their bees and the woodlands, meadows, gardens and fields they keep them in. They talk to local farmers, landowners, fellow allotment owners and councils to encourage planting for pollinators, sustainable woodland management and protecting the natural landscape for their bees.  Our aim is to bring you special limited edition honeys from more and more British beekeepers: as long as they're good custodians of their bees of course!

Our jars and labels are all British sourced to keep our transport miles and carbon footprint low. We absorb the extra cost

Free 2nd class postage and packing to anywhere in the UK.

Our honeys are safely packed in Yorkshire hay and British sourced cardboard boxes, Opening the box is a treat with the sweet smell of summer and our jar of honey nestling inside.
