All about wool

Wool is both renewable and biodegradable as each year sheep loose one fleece and grow another, with the old one either used for wool or returned to the soil, where it decomposes releasing valuable nutrients into the ground.

Wool is a long lasting fibre, meaning your woollen tweeds and throws will last well and enjoy a long life. This is because wool resists tearing because it’s able to be bent back on themselves over 20,000 times without breaking. Science is struggling to replicate this in a man-made fibre!

The protective waxy coating on wool fibres make wool products resistant to staining and they also pick up less dust, as it’s naturally anti-static and hypoallergenic too as it’s resistant to mould and inhibits dust mites which cause most of our allergic reactions
